Holiday Parties ( What You Want To Know Wednesdays )

Holiday season is in full swing. As are holiday parties!  The best part of the season is getting together with friends and family, and celebrating thankfulness, and togetherness.  It is also fun to dress up in your ugliest Christmas sweater, or fanciest dress.  On the other hand, if you want to go a less traditional route, here are some party ideas:

Pancakes and Pajamas Party – Invite everyone to come over in their favorite holiday onesie, or pajama set and feast on pancakes. As a bonus, you can create a topping bar. Include fruits, chocolate, whipped cream, etc.  It will save you the extra work of making different kinds of pancakes.

Coffee, Hot Chocolate, or Champagne bar – Speaking of DIY bars, creating a drink bar is always a hit. Make sure to include flavored creamers, and bits of peppermint to really spruce up the flavor.  Don’t forget the frozen fruits to use as ice cubes to keep the champagne chilled.  Bonus tip: use the empty bottles as decorations by sticking candles in them.

White elephant gift exchange – White elephant gift exchanges may be more common these days, but instead of your typical exchange, create unique cards directing your guests how to exchange their epic gifts. For example, one card can say: “trade gifts with the person who has the longest hair,” “trade gifts with the shortest person in the room, or “trade gifts with the person with the most freckles. “ Unique touches like that will make your party even more fun.

Winter Wonderland – If you want to have a holiday party that is all-inclusive, you can just create a winter wonderland. Choose white decorations to represent snow, and add some pops of color to make the party sparkle.

Decorating party - Host a party where everyone decorates! They can decorate an ugly Christmas sweater, cookies, or a mini tree! You can have a party that includes all of these items or have separate parties.
